A former federal employee and Hispanic Program Coordinator for the Veterans Administration, Luis recently re-joined the FAA within the Air Traffic Organization. He is a Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) with the Operational Systems and 2nd Level Engineering Group. Before his current position, Luis was a business owner and contractor providing IT and engineering services to the FAA for over 20 years. Luis has a long history of civic and community service. He has served in local agency and government boards such as the America Red Cross and the Atlantic City Tourism Council. For over 15 years he was a member and served as Treasurer and President of the Hispanic Alliance of Atlantic County (HAAC), a local non-profit organization. As such, he was responsible for the development and implementation of several fund raising events that generated funding for scholarship programs and other youth educational activities. Originally from Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, Luis started his education as a Computer Programming major at the University of Puerto Rico – Colegio de Agricultura y Artes Mecánicas in Mayaguez. He has been the recipient of several awards for his community involvement and dedication to promote diversity in the work environment.
