NHCFAE 2008 Conference

NHCFAE President Ron LozanoMessage from the President
Saludos Amigos y Colegas
(Greetings Friends and Colleagues),

On the second leg of our journey (a.k.a., my second term), we’re at the time of year where things refocus after our 2nd Quarter Executive Committee meeting and we set our attention on the annual training conference. Our ongoing committee efforts such as legislative and strategic/business planning continue tracking forward while we breathe 2008-life into our Airman Database project as well as our annual tasks to elect new officers and update our Constitution and Bylaws. Rick Day – Vice President of ATO En Route & Oceanic ServicesMessage from Rick Day –
Vice President of ATO En Route & Oceanic Services

Dear NHCFAE,
I am glad to have this opportunity to thank you for your leadership and advocacy to help ensure equitable opportunities in employment and development in the FAA.

Our industry is changing more rapidly than ever. As you know a great number of federal employees across the country will soon reach retirement age. We are challenged to make sure our workforce remains flexible, innovative and integrated as we lead aviation services into the future.

This is where you come in and why associations like NHCFAE are so important. The NHCFAE is taking an active role in recruiting, educating, and mentoring young people for careers in aviation. The resources, activities and alliances you offer your members are raising the bar for employee associations everywhere. As a result of your efforts, our FAA workforce is strengthened by a diversity of knowledge, ideas and cultures necessary to prepare us for the next generation.

Thanks NHCFAE. I look forward to more great work from you.
