WHAT'S NEW THIS MONTH:

1.  First of all, welcome to our redesigned website and our new facade.  There is still a lot of changes to come, but we wanted to get on line with the changes we've made thus far.  Stay tuned for following announcements on changes ahead! 

2. This is also the introduction of our first NHCFAE e-Mail newsletter.  You can expect to receive up-to-date information, breaking news, special announcements. etc.. via this format.  Soon we will have a section for automatic subscription service.

3. We want to point out the new NHCFAE Information Center.  This area will be used to provide an information center for each of the Executive Committee members to post news, events, etc... that are unique to their regions or areas.  

Check out the bio post of the NHCFAE President.  If you want to provide a bio post, send bio and photo to the NHCFAE webmaster.

"This is Air Traffic Control" - This videotape is part of the air traffic control exhibit at the National Air and Space Museum, Udvar-Hazy Center at Dulles Airport, Virginia. The exhibit explains how the air traffic control system works and has an actual air traffic control workstation. In the video, air traffic controllers explain their jobs and what they do to keep the air traffic control system working efficiently and safely. The FAA created, designed and produced the exhibit and the video production.  (17.5 minutes)

"Domestic Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum" -The FAA Administrator Marion Blakey, Chief Operating Officer Russ Chew and Associate Administrator for Aviation Safety Nick Sabatini, live from the FAA Auditorium in the Orville Wright Building, in a special ceremony to recognize our employees around the country who provided outstanding service to help ensure the safe and seamless transition to Domestic Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (DRVSM).  High Speed Low Speed (22 minutes)

The NHCFAE's Rene Matos Scholarship program assists dependants of NHCFAE members, Students of Hispanic Descent; minority and women complete their higher education efforts by recognizing and rewarding academically superior performance, achievements, leadership, and community involvement. NHCFAE scholarships are available on a competitive basis to any undergraduate, graduate, or technical/vocational student.
